Looking for TEFL certification, where do I start looking?

I want to teach English in Europe and need TEFL certification. I have no idea where to start looking for a reputable TEFL certificate provider or if there is a database for this sort of thing. My search turned up a lot of sketchy looking websites. Can anyone recommend an organization/university where I can receive TEFL certification, or a database that will help me look?
